So I went for an awesome looking sketchbook: fabric cover and rough, hand-made paper, awesome? Started using said book...it's really cool looking paper, but it's like drawing on a paper towel...way too absorbent and soft...using pencil is like carving/etching a relief...there's only a couple of my pens that i can possibly use on this paper...i love the texture and thickness, but the softness of it is just not very usable to me...feels like an epic failure...the book was not that cheap....i'll have to stick to my pentalic $4 recycled sketchy books...they're great (for me) they have fairly heavy paper with great texture
i use the 8.5"x5.5" size
